Acting President of the UniversityProfessor Azikiwe Peter Onwualu, FAS is a Professor of Agricultural Engineering of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka where he taught for many years.
He has held many positions in the past including:
Head of Department of Agricultural Engineering, University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
Director, Engineering Infrastructure at the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI).
Director-General/CEO, Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC).
Visiting Professor, National Universities Commission (NUC).
Head of Department and Director, Academic Planning, African University of Science and Technology, Abuja.
He is currently:
President and Chairman of Council, Nigerian Academy of Engineering, Lagos
Member, Board of Directors, African Technology Policy Studies (ATPS) Network, Nairobi, Kenya.
Chairman, Technical Board, Engineering Materials Development Institute, Akure, Nigeria.
Fellow of a number of scientific and professional bodies including Nigeria Academy of Science, Nigerian Academy of Engineering, Nigerian Institute of Management, Nigerian Society of Engineers, Materials Science and Technology Society of Nigeria and Nigerian Institution of Agricultural Engineers.
